Birdhill
Birdhill (Cnocán an Éin Fhinn – The Hill of the Fair Bird) is the local village. Beautifully maintained by the local Tidy Towns Committee, it won the prestigious award of Ireland’s tidiest village in 2006, 2007 and 2008.
A village park and a walking trail complement the natural beauty and views of the surrounding area. The village has two pubs including the famous Matt The Threshers bar and restaurant
Killaloe/Ballina
Killaloe and Ballina are twin towns on the banks of the Shannon where you can avail of many watersports and activities including River Cruises, Yachting, Fishing, Water-skiing, Jet skiing and swimming. Boats are available for hire at various locations locally.
